I’m Carmela, a Brazilian illustrator & multidisciplinary artist currently based in Barcelona.
 

I do a lot of different things - from illustrations and animations to ceramics, painting, and even tattoos.

I like to adapt my work to different formats, learn new skills, and play.

My work explores themes of queerness, identity, empowerment and community through the use of bright colors, confident characters, and gritty textures.

I also teach Digital Advertising and Social Media at Barcelona School of Art and Design.​
