I’m Carmela, a Brazilian illustrator & multidisciplinary artist currently based in Barcelona.
 

I do a lot of different things - from illustrations and animations to ceramics, and even tattoos. I like to adapt my work to different formats, learn new skills, and play.

​

My work explores themes of queerness, identity, empowerment and community through the use of bright colors, confident characters, and gritty textures.

I also teach Digital Advertising and Social Media at Barcelona School of Art and Design.
